For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favour and honour. No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.. Psalm 84:10-11

Nantong ICF Worship Team 2023

Hurray!!! The first Sunday Service of the year- 1st of January 2023! Yes, we made it by His Grace. Oh , What better way is there than to start this year in the house of God? and I believe it was not a coincidence or a mistake, not only because we got to gather together the first day of the year or for the message of the day, but because it was a heavenly experience and timely message to start the year. God was in our midst and he spoke to us in many ways through his servants among which our guest preacher, Papa Jonathan Ampofo, shared a powerful word, filled with so much wisdom, and grace; THE PRESENCE OF GOD. In this sermon, we were reminded of the importance of the presence of God, our running back to our First Love and seeking refuge in Him. It was the right nail we needed to start the year indeed!

I believe I speak on behalf of many who were present that day that it felt like that last talk a team had with the coach before a match in my language we say (Taeo ea ho qetela), which literally translates as 'The Last Commandment'- basically an important instruction. Our worship team introduced us into His presence with an amazing worship and praise, to give God praise; with “Jehovah is your name” and “The one I love” were sang, among others.

How I wish everyone were there or maybe everyone wherever they found themselves fellowshipping that day had the same powerful day or even more. Please let us know how your first Sunday Service was in the comment section. Don't miss out on any of our services. You're warmly invited to join us. You can't miss the next service. Happy New Year Brethren. Be blessed. {written by Sis. Khauhelo}
